Kiosk Mode

Overview

Navigate to Device Management > Merchant & Device, then click the serial number of the desired device. You will be redirected to the Device Detail Page. Refer to the Single Command Bar located on the left side of the page.

This article will guide you through the Kiosk Mode.


Kiosk Mode - Windows and Android Features Explained

  1. For Windows systems, the Kiosk Mode will hide the start menu and notification, and the wallpaper will turn black. It will reboot the system automatically when users turn on/off the Kiosk Mode. 
  2. For Android systems, the Kiosk Mode will hide the navigation bar and notification bar. 

This mode provides Kiosk devices a convenient method to set up. The option “Default startup APP” is used to set a retail application as a default running APP. The APP will keep operating no matter how many times the system restarts.

Steps for setting Kiosk Mode

  1. Select either execute the task immediately or select a future date.
  2. Enable/Disable the Kiosk Mode.
  3. Set an application to automatically run when Kiosk Mode is on.
    1. Add An Application 
      - select from the applications which has already been uploaded to Nubis Drive > win / android application. I      t will be automatically installed and launched.

    2. Manually add an application
      - Enter the Android package name of an already installed application.
      1. com.android.chrome
    3. Local file upload
      -       Upload a local application package; it will be automatically installed and launched.

  4. Overwrite Installation Option
    • Check “If the app already has the app, remove the original version and reinstall it” to perform an in-place upgrade (overwrite install) and then launch the app.

  5. Click the Confirm button to send this task.

Windows Kiosk Mode

  1. enter the full application path.
