Set up Device Wi-Fi

Set up Device Wi-Fi

Overview

Users can configure devices' Wi-Fi settings by creating a profile template in Nubis. Through the profile, users can add and manage Wi-Fi networks, set default SSIDs, and passwords, and enable automatic Wi-Fi connection across devices. Once the profile is applied to a merchant, all associated devices will automatically adopt the configured Wi-Fi settings.

Steps to Set Up Device Wi-Fi Using a Profile

Step 1: Navigate to the Profile List

  • Go to Profile Management and click on Profile List in the left menu.
  • Select Create Profile (choose Android or Windows based on your device type).

Step 2: Access the Wi-Fi Settings

  • In the newly created profile, select Wi-Fi from the configuration options on the left panel.

Step 3: Enable Wi-Fi Settings

  • Toggle the switch to Enable Wi-Fi configuration.

Step 4: Restrict Network Connections (Optional)

  • Toggle the switch to limit devices to only connect to specified networks.

Step 5: Add a Wi-Fi Network

  • Click Add Wi-Fi to add a new network to the profile.

Step 6: Enter Wi-Fi Details

  • Input the SSID (network name) and Password for the Wi-Fi network.
  • Repeat this process if multiple networks need to be configured.

Step 7: Save the Profile

  • After completing the configuration, click Save to finalize the profile.

Step 8: Apply the Profile to a Merchant

  • Return to the Profile List. Locate the created profile and click Apply to Merchant.

Step 9: Select the Merchant

  • In the pop-up, choose the target merchant to which the profile will be applied.

Step 10: Confirm Assignment

  • Click Confirm to complete the process. All devices under the selected merchant will now adopt the configured Wi-Fi settings.

This ensures that all devices linked to the merchant will automatically connect to the specified Wi-Fi networks upon applying the profile.
